St. Moluag’s Church: On a
Norse site consecrated in the sixth
Century, the St. Moluag Church was
built in the 12th Century and retains
most of the original walls and flooring.
These stones diffuse the interior light
with such softness that they impart a
peacefulness that I feel I can hold.
Hadrian’s Wall: The northern

Houseteads. Could a vigil ever be
so lonely as the Roman soldier’s
over these serpentine parapets?
