Anna is a redhead. Generally, this means two things:
Her skin will have a reddish tint and her hair and skin
can reflect a lot of light. While this isn't true for ev-
eryone who has red hair, it was true for Anna. Her
jewelry could also have been a problem - if I directed
the light incorrectly, the jewelry would have been like
a mirror.
Also, I didn't want to lose the separation between
Anna and the wall, or the separation between her
forearm and her torso. Notice the way Anna has her
arms. Her right arm extends to her left shoulder and
her left arm is between her legs. I wanted to make
sure that I didn't lose any part of her left arm where
it was visible.
Lastly, I didn't want to darken the right side of her
face too much. Doing so would have lost the separa-
tion between her face and her hair. I really liked the
texture of her hair as well. I was concerned that if this
side were too dark I wouldn't be able to see where
her hair touched her shoulder.
