                                        There are no hard and fast
                                        rules for “segmenting” an im-
                                        age into  sections.  I  look  for
                                        common tonality, shadow
                                        lines, and even how the lines
                                        of the model shape a space.
                                        In this case, this area was de-
                                        fined - as far as my eye was
                                        concerned -  by  the  line of
                                        her leg and by the shift in the
                                        color of the wall to a softer
                                        gray.

                                                                          I loved her pose and I loved the way she held her head. This brought the light dramat-
                                                                          ically over her face, highlighted the detail of the dress, and even followed the contours
                                                                          of her musculature.
