A Observe
Assess the physical environment, the people, the place, the things and the time of day.
Who is attending? What am I about to do? Where is it occurring? When does it happen? Where
should I be positioned? These questions help to me to begin a serious consideration of what I am
about to do; a meeting, a casual conversation, a presentation, sharing information or even when
writing. Is the room light, neutral or dark, would altering the light possibly improve event? How
is the seating arranged, should it be changed to limit or encourage participation?
