t u How can you keep your sensor clean?

There are some things you can do to help keep you sensor clean. Just keep in mind that
however careful you are, your sensor will get dirty.

a Avoid removing the lens while the camera is still powered on. Remember that
a the sensor is an electronic device that holds an electrical charge for some period
a of time - usually a few seconds - after the camera is powered off.
a
a Once the camera is powered off, turn the camera so that the lens points down
towards the ground. Then and only then can you remove the lens.

Make sure that the back of the lens - the part of the lens that attaches to the
camera - is immediately covered. Do NOT leave the lens uncovered. Doing so
allows dirt to settle into the lens. When you turn the camera on all the dust and
dirt that collects there will be drawn into the sensor.

Don't ever store the camera without either a lens attached or the body cap
attached to the front of the camera.

When you lay the camera down, place in down so that it rests on the back of the
camera. Resting the camera so that the lens touches the ground or table top or
any surface can cause the lens to torque and this in turn can allow dust and dirt
   into the camera body.
