This is a view of the back of the back pack. Light weight stays sown into the fabric help
the back pack hold its shape. Note: a There is ample padding which ensures that the
pack rests comfortably against the back. b In keeping with Thank Tank's design of all
its bags, there are pockets for storage everywhere. c The design lends itself to easy
adjustment.
Ever had a tag afixed to a zipper that is designed to help you pull it break? Well, we have.
Those won't. We even tried using gloves to open the zippers and we easily were able to.
Built in to the design of the back pack is considerable weather protection. In this photo
note the fabric "lip" that covers the zippers. This ensures that water and weather won't
penetrate the zipper and damage equipment.
When you open the top of the back pack, there is an insert that further protects your gear
and which can be configures to accommodate your specific requirements. Like the back
pack itself, this insert has zippered access. Note the green tabs - these make it easy to se-
cure the bag while closing or opening the zipper. I tried it with light weight gloves on and
I was able to open and close the zipper easily.
Another view of the insert - versatility is designed into the bag - not that we are surprised.
Versatility is a hallmark of Think Tank designs.
This is a photo looking down into the bag stored in the bottom of the backpack. This bag
rotates in and out of the built-in pouch. We found moving the bag around while in the
field was easy - once we got accustomed to the novel design of the release. Not shown here
is another mark of Think Tank design - there is a clip that acts as a safety and connects
the bag to the backpack. Even if yo drop the bag, the clip keeps the bag from getting lost.
This is a closeup of the revolutionary design of the quick release that allows the bag to
be moved 180 degrees while the backpack is still on. If you have ever struggled with tra-
ditional release mechanisms, you are in for a treat. Once again, I was able to release this
with gloves on. Phenomenal.
This is a closeup of the vented padding in the back of the bag. We found the backpack to
be very comfortable even after hours of wear. My back didn't get wet from perspiration
either - thanks in large part to the material used to form the padding.
This is a closeup of the bag that is concealed in the bottom of the back pack and which can
be moved 180 degrees while wearing the backpack. Like the backpack. There are pockets
everywhere. This part of the bag can be used independently of the backpack.
