            Damascus Revisited

                                      In the fall of 2002, both JD and I had succeeded in trashing our lives. It
                                    was late September, and I was looking for a job. This wasn’t going well,
                                    and to be honest, I wasn’t thrilled by the positions I was finding. One
                                    morning, I asked JD if he wanted to go back to the Creeper with me. I
