WELCOME!...
With this issue, we are moving to a new format. NyghtVision Magazine will be
available in print, as an e-publication, and for the near future, on our website.
Since its publication in January 2011, the magazine’s readership has grown
substantially and we want to maximize our reader’s ability to enjoy this pub-
lication.
Gene Rurka joins us this month. JD and Falcon met Gene in 2005. A philan-
thropist, explorer, and entrepreneur, Gene’s insight into the importance of
photography is powerful and it certainly adds perspective on what we do.
Both Andy Walcott and Lew Brown continue to contribute fascinating mate-
rial. Andy’s essay on video offers many interesting insights and Lew’s article
on Lake Mattamuskeet is accompanied by stunning photos.
Our two photo essays offer a look at life on the road. Both photo essays were
created while JD and Falcon were on assignment. The essay on Honduras
features images from Roatan and Trujillo. The latter is little known to most
Americans but, as these photos show, it is incredibly beautiful. While Bon-
aventure Cemetery in Savannah is a common stop for tourists, these images
capture a side of that cemetery rarely seen.
With this issue we start a new series - “The Paris Chronicles.” When he is on
the road for more than a few days, Falcon often journals about his experienc-
es. His view of different “worlds” and the “travel experience” is
always unique. As The House of NyghtFalcon begins moving
into e-publication through its new division, NyghtBooks, look
for many of these essays to appear as e-books.
You may have also noticed a new logo - NyghtBooks is the divi-
sion of The House of NyghtFalcon that will oversee the crea-
tion and distribution of all our books - print, web, or “e”.
