In this exercise we will focus on the extremes that allow us
to access the circle of confusion and use it effectively.
Find an object and get as close to it as you can with your camera - be
careful not to bang the lens.
a. Press the shutter until as you move away you are able to get a focal
lock.
b. This is the Minimum Focusing Distance for your lens.
c. Once you have found that point, press your shutter half way down
and hold it there.
d. This locks the camera and maitains your focal distance.
Moving on an arc to your right or left, find a place where you find the com-
position interesting.
Press the shutter all the way down.
