about photography, – more than a personal memoir or a dissertation about
his philosophy of life. The theme of Falcon’s writing is neither existential nor
mystical. It is immensely practical in an unexpected way. In the darkness,
we can only feel the realities that surround us. We have expressions that
are meant to describe the possible deception of sight, sound or even smell
– 'Do you see what I see? Am I hearing things?’ We have no such linguistic
convention to describe touch as anything other than the direct experience
of reality and truth. 'I felt it’ becomes a declaration of indisputable fact.
Falcon’s photographic oeuvre offers us a view of the world that is opu-
lent and richly sensuous. In, "The Moon Is a Jealous Mistress," Falcon reaches
into the darkness and invites us all to understand the nature of reality is not
intellectual – but experiential. Falcon offers us a surprising perspective that
redemption and inter-connection lies in emotional experience. His imagery is
sumptuous and rich, but also mysterious. What really matters is emotion and
connection – love and death. We confront the darkness of our own isolation
and discover light.

and speaks and shoots photos and makes
