About the Cine Reflector
1 There is a handle at the top of the unit. This
makes moving it from place to place easy.
There is a quick release mechanism near the
2 that holds various glass plates in place snaps.
handle. Just press the release and the bracket
This makes it very easy to add or change shaping
options. Note - you can stack thinner shaping
"plates" in place.
Not visible in this image is the option to remove
the inner chromed conical adapter. Removing it
leaves a textured surface.
3 Not completely visible is a "clamp" that allows
you to attach an umbrella. Barn doors are availa-
ble as well.
On the other side of the unit is a single lever that
4 locks the head in place. We found the lever easy
to maneuver. It unlocks and locks quickly.
4 5 All the light shaping tools are color coded and
the case in which they come clearly identifies
each light shaping tool.
Like all Profoto's gear, we found the Cine
Reflector to be incredibly well made. De-
signed to work with constant light and
strobes, the Cine Reflector can be mounted
either on a stand or from overhead. The
all-metal construction of the housing means
that the reflector can stand up to whatever
you can throw at it.
