it is still high enough at 10:00 AM to come through the leaded-glass
windows in the alcove on the second floor. There are two red-velvet
couches trimmed in dark wood, on either side of the window, and a
small table with silk flowers directly in front of the window. I’ve worked
in this area before, but never before with strobes, and never before
with Fresnel technology.
Given my prior experience in that space, I knew what some of the is-
sues I faced working in that space:
Like most of the rest of the house, the molding and
trim are painted a high-gloss white. This means there are a
lot of highly reflective surfaces.
Location work is al-
ways challenging, and,
unless there is a real
reason to make it more
difficult than it has to
be, I do everything I can
to avoid more problems.
