Working in Small Spaces
There were many times, early in my career, when
I wanted to work in small spaces but decided
that there was no way I could possibly handle
the technical issues. So, rather than even try, I
walked away.
Many of those small spaces were in the "burned
out house" where we learned virtually everything
we know about light. Time and again, we tried to
master lighting small spaces only to walk away
frustrated, if not bewildered.
In August of last year, I found myself in a situa-
tion where all the spaces were small. It had been
almost a decade since I had worked with Akira
Feathermoon Cheyenne and I really wanted to
create some very distinctive images with her.
So, I had to confront the very problem I had al-
ways tried to avoid: Working in small, confined
spaces.
