The earth's still warm from our sunny days.
Summer came and then it went away.
Golden leaves that soon fall to ground and dance with the wind
and to its whispering sound.
The house is empty, the grass is uncut.
The doors are closed and the windows are shut.
Fleeting moments that fldash before me.
The memories still echo in this house by the sea.
How I miss these last days of summer with bright eyes and blue skies.
How I dread these first days of winter
when summer has said its goodbyes.
(Greta Salome "Last Days of Summer")
nly yesterday, it seems, the world around me was filled with the promise of
O longer days and warmer nyghts. Now, amidst the incessant restlessness of the
nyght, long evening shadows scatter aimlessly across the world around me.

And the breath of wynter already lingers in the darkness. Life slips from the
world as eternal grayness leaves summer little more than a haunting memo-
ry. The nyght finds me longing for other days and the summer yet to come. Tired and yet
restless. Abandoned to nyghts that seem to last forever.
Neve capere. Teneat arcte memoriae.
Seize the moment. Hold fast the memories.
There is only now, only this moment, drink from it all you can. And, hold fast the mem-
ories.
