Francois: It must have been quite a trip for you and JD Milazzo.
Falcon: (laughing) Aren't all our trips? To which trip are you referring?
Francois: Well, I have been told that you were not looking for Silver Reef or Wells-Fargo? Cor-
rect?
Falcon: (laughing) Correct.
Francois: You were on your way - where? Bryce Canyon?
Falcon: Yes. That was our goal.
Francois: Because?
Falcon: JD and I had done Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire and Bryce Canyon is supposed to
be even more incredible. So, since we were in Vegas any way........
Francois: So, you decided you would go. In March. Still winter for all intents and purposes.
Falcon: Of course.
Francois: Okay, I will ask the obvious. Why? I mean it must have struck you as potentially dan-
gerous, or risky - I mean winter in Utah.
Falcon: No. I can honestly say we never gave it a thought.
Francois: Really?
Falcon: Really.
Francois: There's a part of me that is shocked to hear you say that, and there's another part of me
that isn't the least bit surprised.
Falcon: Now, you'll have to explain that comment. (laughing)
Francois: How long have I known you - three years I guess? I would not say you are given to at-
tention to detail when it comes to things like this. You are more inclined to just jump and worry
about landing a bit later. But, JD? I can't envision him doing something like this. Wasn't it the
year before when the two of you were in Caliente looking for a ghost town when you had to turn
around or face serious danger.
Falcon: Yes.
Francois: Obviously, you didn't learn anything from that - did you? (laughing)
Falcon: Easy now.... (also laughing)
Francois: Okay, if I can be more serious for a moment, why did you try to get to Bryce Canyon - in
the winter - and - if I remember correctly - in a rented Sebring convertible?
Falcon: To be perfectly honest, I don't think either one of us realized what we were in for. I mean,
you can't choose the rental car. In fact, if I recall, we had to pull some strings just to get a car.
Francois: Explain.
Falcon: In those days, our only vehicle was the War Wagon - a 1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo - and
